In its 5th year, The Bascom’s photography residency has grown as an essential component of the organization’s mission. Attracting photographers from across the country, this unique residency opportunity not only benefits the resident artist through a variety of professional development opportunities, but also serves the community through important education programs for local students and adults.
Plateau Pick Up Volunteers will meet this year at Kelsey Hutchinson Park at 8:30 a.m. to get area assignments. Social distancing will be practiced during the pickup. Bagged breakfast and lunch will be served to volunteers and everyone will be supplied with gloves, pick up tools, safety vests, garbage bags, and a “thank you” tee shirt.
Known as the “Cheers” of Bookstores, the Bookworm in Highlands is affiliated with the Hudson Library: all books are donated; all staff are volunteers; and all funds go to help support the library. More than a retail store, we are a community service offering carefully sorted donated books to provide the best quality at a used bookstore price.
