McKee Properties, the experts in luxury real estate in the Cashiers area of the Western North Carolina mountains, has added Broker Associate Maggie Elmer to its team.
Prior to joining McKee Properties, Maggie served in the sales office of High Hampton as Office Manager. She’s lived in the Cashiers area since 2009.
“I’m thrilled to be part of the future of McKee Properties,” said Elmer. “The company’s history, knowledge and expertise convinced me it was the best fit to grow my real estate career and serve my clients. I look forward to helping real estate sellers and buyers on the Plateau make their dreams come true.”
A former teacher at Summit Charter School, Maggie earned her real estate license in March 2019 and turned her career focus. She holds a bachelor of science in Environmental and Natural Resources from Clemson University. Upon graduation, Maggie taught environmental education classes for the City of Rock Hill Parks and Recreation Department.
Her prior employment also includes retail experience at Vivace, a women’s clothing boutique in Highlands. Maggie moved to the area from Rock Hill, South Carolina. She and her husband, Ben, a fishing guide at Brookings, are doting parents to their French Brittany Spaniel, Pippi. A former equestrian, Maggie enjoys gardening, reading, hiking, camping, being outdoors and entertaining friends.
Founded more than 40 years ago, McKee Properties’ history, experience and success in high-end real estate is unmatched in the Cashiers and surrounding area.
William McKee and his sister, Ann McKee Austin, in conjunction with McKee Properties helped develop the nationally-renowned Wade Hampton Golf Club, which inspired the luxury communities and clubs that the area is known for today.
The company and its Brokers consistently have ranked among the top producers in the market. According to the Highlands-Cashiers MLS, McKee Properties was the Number One Office in Total Dollar Volume during the past decade. McKee Properties is proud to be recognized as a Founding Partner of G&G Land, a new special section of Garden & Gun magazine, featuring the properties that are dedicated to an “authentic sense of space and inherent responsibility to the natural world.”
