Any Chance to Entertain
Southern hospitality is more than a saying, it’s a way of life here on the Plateau. Whether it’s a house full of friends and family visiting for the weekend, a cocktail party, backyard barbecue, or intimate dinner party, we welcome the chance to entertain.
It goes without saying that good food is central to any gathering but who has the time to plan and execute the perfect event, or to prepare all that delicious food?
No need to worry, just call private chef and caterer Kristin Jorgensen and let her do the cooking. Whatever you’re planning, Kristin can help you plan and prepare the perfect menu. Always using the season’s best and freshest ingredients from local farmer’s markets, and only all-natural, organic meats, Kristin will make sure your guests are well fed with beautiful, healthy, and delicious food.
Southern hospitality is also a big part of the reason Kristin returned home to Cashiers. She previously lived here for many years, owning and operating the successful prepared food market Good Food, the go-to place for fresh salads, soups, sandwiches, and dinners to-go. Eight years ago, the lure of new places and experiences called, so Kristin sold her business and moved away, living since in New York City and the California wine country. Enchanting places to live, but her love of the South was stronger and Cashiers was calling. Kristin moved back this spring and didn’t miss a beat, once again turning her love of good food into our good fortune.
While she can prepare all types of food and menus, she’s particularly enjoying the chance to focus on southern cooking and classic comfort foods, emphasizing local, fresh ingredients. It’s been said that a good Southern cook knows how to put an ounce of love in each dish – that may be Kristin’s secret ingredient.
