All on Board
The Highlands Chamber of Commerce election results are in.
Executive Director Bob Kieltyka says, “The innovative styles of two new and one returning director, blended with our existing body of talent, promises to make 2016 a landmark year.”
Voted-in were Hilary Wilkes, of The Highland Hiker; Brad Spaulding, publisher of The Highlander, and returning director David Bock of David Bock Builders.
Hats off to Mary Adair Leslie of the Highlands Performing Arts Center; Victoria Ingate of Peak Experience; and Michael Hammond, of The Park on Main Hotel, for participating in the elections. With such a quality pool from which to pick, any choice would have been an excellent one.
The three winners welcome the opportunity to serve alongside Jack Austin, Chairman; Kyle Garner, Past Chair; David Bock, Treasurer; Tony Potts, Membership Chair and Chair Elect; Irina Taylor, Events Committee; Marianne Vines, Events Chair; Bill Futral, Advertising Grants Chair; Amanda Sullivan, Marketing Chair; and Kay Craig, Events Committee.
Wilkes and Spaulding will replace outgoing directors Kyle Garner of Wayah insurance Group and Irina Taylor, Owner of Highlands Kids. Jack Austin of Old Edwards Inn, the current chair, will serve as past chair through June 2017. He will pass the gavel to Tony Potts, of Entegra Bank, who will assume the chairmanship on July 1.
Congratulations to Hillary, Brad, and David. And for those who wish to share their own talent and expertise with our exceptional business community, give the Chamber a call at (828) 526-5841 for more information.
