Coro Vocati will perform in a concert entitled “Dust and Spirit – Home and Beyond: Songs of our Folk-Heritage” on Saturday, July 13, at 5:00 P.M. at First Presbyterian Church of Highlands. There is no charge
for admission.

The program features English language folk songs and hymns from three countries – Ireland, Scotland, and America. These songs sing of the ubiquitous longings common to all people and cultures – love, work, land, home. Listen to their story and you’ll undoubtedly hear the echoes of your own heart and journey.

Coro Vocati is a 24-member professional chamber choir, and was founded in 2009 by Dr. John Dickson, now Director of Choral Studies at Louisiana State University School of Music. The ensemble was formed to showcase the rich talent and choral legacy of the Atlanta area. In 2014, the group completed its first recording project, “Sweetheart of the Sun.”

The group will also be singing during the 11:00 A.M. worship service at First Presbyterian Church on Sunday, July 14. Everyone is cordially invited to attend. The church is located at the corner of Main and Fifth Streets.
