Weekend of Music in Highlands
Weekends were made for relaxing and getting together with your neighbors and friends.
This weekend, why not head downtown for two great opportunities to listen to great live music? Nothing beats a lively tune to shake off the cares of the week and welcome a little fun into your life.
Friday Night Live concerts take place every Friday night at Highlands Town Square from 6:00 until 8:00 P. M. This year Friday Night Live is part of the Blue Ridge Music Trails of North Carolina which offers opportunities to hear, learn about, and enjoy mountain music. Their August line-up features some of the best mountain music in the area: Mountain Dulcimers on August 4; Southern Highlands on August 11; The Johnny Webb Band on August 18; and, Mountain Dulcimers returning on August 25.
Saturday evenings the fun moves to the Kelsey Hutchinson Founders Park on Pine Street for Saturdays on Pine. Brought to you by the Highlands Chamber of Commerce, The Ugly Dog Pub, and other generous sponsors, these lively Saturday evenings bring out young and old alike to mingle, dance, and listen to great music. These concerts also start at 6:00 P.M.
Bring your lawn chairs and a picnic, or have a bite to eat at a local eatery before or after the show, and join the fun. It’s truly a great place for friends and families to stop, unwind, relax, and enjoy great music and good times.
