The Cashiers Designer Showhouse, benefitting the Cashiers Historical Society, caps off the summer season on the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau.
This year they’re celebrating their 20th anniversary and are celebrating in a big way. From August 12 through August 27, interior designers representing the Southeastern region will not only bring trending design to Cashiers but will again create the magic that is The Cashiers Designer Showhouse.
Leading area landscapers are involved in redefining the areas surrounding the homes and in turn creating serene and evocative late summer mountain gardens for Showhouse strolling.
Cottage Walk, in downtown Cashiers, is the setting for the 2017 Showhouse with three cottages on the tour. These three newly-constructed homes, located on Burns Street, offer limitless options for the 27 designers and an inspiring palette for ticket holders.
General admission tickets are available for purchase either for a single day or as a multi-day package online as well as at several locations in Cashiers and Highlands. As a Donor or Benefactor, there are numerous events and special perks that come your way
Since the Cashiers Designer Showhouse is located in downtown Cashiers, ample parking will be available at the large lot on Frank Allen Road opposite the Cashiers-Glenville Fire Department headquarters and behind Wendy’s. There will be a trolley running regular service from the parking lot to the Showhouse about every 10 minutes. Parking is free every day except August 21, Eclipse Day, when there will be a $25 charge for parking.
The calendar of events is an exciting one and you’re encouraged to visit the Cashiers Historical Society website for a complete description of the Cashiers Designer Showhouse 2017 at CashiersHistoricalSociety.org. There are several levels of donor-ship available and sponsors, benefactors, and higher tier donors will have special privileges and invitations to many of the activities.
