Highlands Marketplace

Thanks to our extended growing season, regional farmers can offer a wide range of produce throughout the season.

It opened in May with sweet lettuces, eggs, spring flowers, and a variety of homemade arts and crafts. This month you’ll see even more choices as the earth warms and harvests abound. Sweet peas, berries, honeys, baked goods, organic eggs and fresh cut flowers are only a few of the brightly colored offerings available to the early bird shoppers.

There’s nothing like eating locally-grown goodness and treats baked with loving hands. The fruits and veggies you buy are the freshest and tastiest around. There is no long haul trucking involved and you’ll be supporting family farmers. The food is seasonal, meaning a constantly changing variety and the truest flavors.

If you’re looking for a true mountain-made gift, they’re available at Highlands Marketplace. You’ll be able to choose from jellies, jewelry, art, woodcrafts, and other works made right here. Local churches help their individual charities by displaying pieces made by artisans from around the globe, adding a touch of the exotic.

Bring your cash and shopping bag or basket and plan your meals around the delectable displays at Highlands Marketplace, Saturdays at Kelsey-Hutchinson Founders Park in downtown Highlands. It’s a great place to meet your neighbors, and leashed dogs are welcomed.
