Do Good. Eat Well.
The Lakeside Restaurant Team (L-R): Chef Jordan Brown, owner Laura Huerta, Chef Jon Davis, and manager Travis Brooks.

A hint of fall is in the air and Laura Huerta and her staff at Lakeside Restaurant are bringing the richness of the season into their fresh and innovative food and drink menus.

Changes are in the air, but one thing that remains constant at Lakeside are the Wednesday night “Evenings at Lakeside,” which they set aside for area non-profits to join them in raising money and awareness for their causes.

Throughout the season, many local non-profits have taken advantage of these evenings as a festive way to raise money for their organizations while enjoying an evening out with their friends.  Many non-profits make this an annual event which is eagerly anticipated each year. Most recently the Highlands Food Pantry, Highlands-Cashiers Chamber Music Festival, Scaly Mountain Women’s Club and the Cashiers-Highlands Humane Society have taken advantage of this innovative and enjoyable way to raise funds and have a good time while doing so.

Dates in September and October are still available and interested non-profits should contact Lakeside at (828) 526-9419 to select an available date.  Lakeside will donate 15 percent of the non-profit’s guest checks that evening to the non-profit. It is up to each organization and their board members to market their evening.  Always remember when making reservations to mention that you are there to support your chosen non-profit.

Don’t miss this opportunity to show your support for our area non-profits that so greatly enrich our community.

For more information or to make reservations, please call Lakeside at (828) 526-9419.  They are located at 531 Smallwood Avenue in Highlands.
