For the tenth time, Highlanders and visitors will be treated to a fabulous, traditional Christmas meal prepared by one of Highlands’ finest chefs, Lakeside Restaurant owner, Marty Rosenfield. The Dinner has become a tradition for many here, and has served as a fundraiser for many Highlands local non-profits. Over the last 10 years close to $70,000 has been donated to local organizations that serve the Highlands community.
This year, we will be donating our proceeds to R.E.A.C.H. of Macon County and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Highlands. R.E.A.C.H. provides a safe haven and shelter to women and children who are victims of domestic violence and abuse while Big Brothers Big Sisters helps improve the lives of children by offering a safe, professionally supervised and monitored “one on one” mentoring program.
The Dinner features a buffet of turkey, ham, and tenderloin, and all the “fixins” in the quiet elegance of the Hudson House at Highlands Country Club. Donna Woods contributes her now famous dressing, an absolute favorite over the years. Martha Porter will insure a sweet ending with her mouthwatering deserts. Marty Rosenfield is one of Highlands iconic Chefs and everything he prepares is sheer excellence. Dinner will be served from 11:00 a.m. ‘til 5:00 p.m. and is by reservation only. The buffet is $35 for adults, $15.00 for children 11 and under, and kids 5 and under eats free.
