Chattooga Loop Trail

On this part of the Chattooga Trail you can enjoy a relaxing stroll through the woods, leading to the Chattooga River. With beautiful views from the Bull Pen Bridge, aka “The Iron Bride,” it’s an excellent location for photos. This trail is 2 miles long and an easy hike. Always use caution when exploring the beautiful trails this area has to offer.

Directions. Beginning at the crossroads of Hwy. 107 and Hwy. 64 in Cashiers, go south on 107 for 7 miles. Turn right at Bull Pen Road, then 5.4 miles to the bridge, where the trail begins.

Chattooga Narrows Trail

A slightly longer and more difficult part of the Chattooga Trail, this hike is 2.9 miles. Always use caution when exploring the beautiful trails this area has to offer.

Directions. Beginning at the crossroads of Hwy. 107 and Hwy. 64 in Cashiers, go south on 107 for 1.7 miles. Take right onto Whiteside Cove Road, the 6.8 miles to county line. Parking area on left side of the road.

Panthertown Valley Loop

This is a moderate and longer trail of 5.6 miles, giving the hiker a chance to see so much more of the abundant nature prevalent to this area. Always use caution when exploring the beautiful trails and woods of the Cashiers area.

Directions: Beginning at the crossroads of Hwy. 107 and Hwy. 64 in Cashiers, go east on 64 for 2 miles. Take left to Cedar Creek Road, go 2.3 miles. Take right onto Breedlove Road, then continue 3.4 miles to parking area.

Whiteside Mountain Trail

This is a popular, 2 mile moderate hike that offers stunning views in three directions. Always use caution when exploring the beautiful trails this area has to offer.

Directions. Beginning at the crossroads of Hwy. 107 and Hwy. 64 in Cashiers, take 64 west for 4.7 miles. Take left onto Whiteside Mountain Road. Go 1.1 miles past Wildcat Cliffs Country Club to gravel parking area.

Yellow Mountain Trail

This is a longer more difficult trail of 9.6 miles which leads to the top of Yellow Mountain. Not for beginners, seasoned hikers can enjoy the view in every direction from the Yellow Mountain fire tower.

Directions. Beginning at the crossroads of Hwy. 107 and Hwy. 64 in Cashiers, go west on 64 for 7.3 miles. Take Buck Creek Road, then go 2.3 miles to Cole Gap. Watch for a steep trail on the right with steps and a wooden sign. Parking is available on the left.
