Highlands Own Craft Show

The Town of Highlands celebrates the 35th Highlands Own Arts & Crafts Show on Saturday, October 14, from 9:00 A.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Highlands Civic Center at 600 North Fourth Street.  Admission and parking to this event are free.

Autumn is a season ripe for exploring all the bounty our area has to offer.  For many, autumn is the season to visit craft shows, and the Highlands Own Show has become a regional favorite.  Boasting over 60 artisans, this show is big enough to offer something for everyone, but even with its phenomenal growth over the years, it still manages to keep that local flavor.

Make plans now to stock your cupboards from the wide assortment of home-baked cakes, pies, cookies, fudge, and breads, as well as jams, jellies, preserves, pickles, sauces, and other home-canned goods available.

There is also always a wide selection of arts and crafts of every imaginable kind – fine handcrafted furniture; Christmas wreaths, ornaments and gifts; woven items; creations in stone and clay; paintings; drawings; handcrafted knives; jewelry; candles; scarves and other textiles; hand-blown glass; woodworking; pottery; and so much more.

The colors of the season will be on full display with many local gardeners sharing a wide assortment of dried flowers and arrangements, or choose from the large assortment of Japanese lanterns, dried hydrangeas, and other dried flowers and herbs sold here and create your own unique creation.

Mark your calendars now to spend the morning or afternoon here.  For more information, please call the Town of Highlands at (828) 526-2118.
